Welcome to the official blog of Trevor Neil White! I’m an indie author who loves reading and writing science fiction/horror stories and poetry. I also dabble in film and gaming videos on YouTube, and aim to start producing music soon. I’m also a lawyer, but eh, nobody’s perfect. For takes of varying temperatures on all this and more, you can hit up @TrevorNWhite on Twitter.
With my stories, I aim to take familiar supernatural fiction tropes and Hollywood-style action and inject them with robust prose, realistic characters and dialogue, and meaningful themes (i.e., changing social perspectives on marginalized groups, the effects of technology on human relationships, just how weird a creepy monster can look). As an internet geek since childhood, I also strive to deliver some wacky humor and high-grade “creepypasta” scares regularly, too. Let me know if I’m on the right track!
Some writers and works which have influenced/inspired me over the years (so you know what you’re getting into here) include:
–“The Greats” (Isaac Asimov, Ray Bradbury, Arthur C. Clarke)
–George Orwell (1984)
–Aldous Huxley (Brave New World)
–Neil Gaiman (Coraline, American Gods, Smoke and Mirrors)
–Ernest Cline (Ready Player One)
–Jerry Holkins (Penny Arcade)
–Bill Watterson (Calvin & Hobbes)
–Way back when: R.L. Stine, Neal Shusterman, and William Sleator
–“Airport thrillers” (Dan Brown, Michael Crichton)
–Wild action movies (Mission: Impossible, James Bond, The Raid, most things with aliens in them)

Thanks for stopping by, and if you like what you see, be sure to tell your friends and buy a copy of one of my books from the “Shop” page up there! If not, my goal’s always to make each story better than the last, so it’s a win-win.
